The Hollow-Tree Letter

Across the creek, the third lantern hangs from a hollow oak the forest uses as a mailbox. Inside, Quokky finds an unsigned note pinned beneath a red leaf:

Hold the door for whoever comes next. Offer your seat when the trail is long. Pass along a kind word you overheard. End each day by thanking someone.

At the bottom, in smaller ink: “The first letter of each line spells the word that lights this lantern.”
